About us

Welcome to Royal Parthenope Football Club, a team and community born from the hearts of Napoli fans in London in 2023.
Who We Are
We are more than just a football club. We are a passionate group of individuals who share a deep love for Napoli and its rich footballing heritage. Our story is one of determination, unity, and a burning desire to grow, not just as a professional team but also as a close-knit community.
Our Founders and Investors
Royal Parthenope FC was founded by four enterprising and dedicated individuals: Tommy Mazzara, Domenico Improta, Joel Coleman, and Rahad Hussain. Their shared vision of bringing the magic of Napoli's football to London gave birth to this remarkable project.
Our Coach, Antonio Barattolo
Our head coach, Antonio Barattolo, has an inspiring journey that spans from the fields of Napoli to those of London. After starting his coaching career with young talents at Tottenham, Antonio brought his experience and love for the game to Royal Parthenope FC. Articles about him in IL Mattino and La Repubblica testify to his dedication and passion for the sport.
Our Sporting Director, Enrico Pomarico
Enrico Pomarico, our Sporting Director, is a familiar face in London's footballing community. Apart from leading FC Royal Parthenope, Enrico dedicates his entire time to football, successfully managing a youth team called Stokey United. His experience and commitment are vital driving forces for our club.
Our Football Director, Giuseppe Sollo
Giuseppe Sollo, our Football Director, brings extensive experience and dedication to the world of football. Not only is he an expert in the field, but he is also the President of Finchley, another team competing in the Barnet League. His team not only plays football but also has a positive social impact by distributing hot meals to those in need every Saturday morning.
Secretary General, Angelo Fretta
Angelo Fretta, our Secretary General, has entered the football world with us and is making his way among the directors of various teams, helping us with bureaucratic matters and league relations.
Our Story
It was May 1, 2023. The Italian football championship (Serie A) wouldn't finish until June, but Napoli was just one point away from victory. Napoli fans had been waiting 33 years for this moment, but many of us, mostly immigrants, couldn't be in Napoli to celebrate this historic event.
One of us, Domenico, had the idea to unite Napoli fans across the UK through social media to celebrate our team together in London. By the end of the day, nearly 1000 people had joined us. For us, this incredible response represented a fundamental need to formalize a community to enhance the sense of belonging for fans far from the team and the place they love. We wanted and needed a club that represented us.
In a few days, the Royal Parthenope Club London was founded, and on May 3, 2023, Napoli, after 33 years, won the league title. Celebrations around the world were fantastic, and thanks to the Royal Parthenope Club London, supporters from across the country joined a large family (about 2000 people were with us at Trafalgar Square) to celebrate.
Our Vision
Our vision is to consolidate the representation of Neapolitan culture and tradition in the UK and create the largest network and community of Neapolitans (or those with Napoli in their hearts) living abroad.
Our Mission
Establish a Napoli fan football team that represents the city in the UK and brings together existing teams that share the same sense of belonging to our city. Provide a safe space where people can meet fellow fans and be part of a community.
Our Values
  • Community: Our club aspires to create the largest British community of Napoli fans. We don't compete with similar entities; we collaborate and support cooperation with any potential peers.

  • Support: Our club ensures its members feel safe and cared for. We promote and enable mutual support, the sharing of skills among all participants.

  • Inclusion: Our club welcomes all Napoli fans regardless of their origin and nationality. We do not tolerate sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, age discrimination, ableism, or any other form of discrimination.

Our Brand
According to legend, Parthenope was a siren (even more beautiful than Venus...) and the mother of Neapolitans. There are several myths about Parthenope's story, but all of them see her lose her life in the Gulf of Napoli while giving birth to the Neapolitan civilization.
The Royal Parthenope F.C. logo features a red crown on the siren's head, symbolizing our club's connection to the UK.
We are excited to have you join us on this incredible journey as we aim to make our mark in the world of football while celebrating the vibrant spirit of Napoli. Together, we are Royal Parthenope FC!
